SMS Reminders - Update mobile phone number for existing appointments

If a client's mobile phone number is changed on their file, their SMS appointment reminders are still sent to the old number for appointments that were made before the new phone number was added. At the moment, the mobile phone number needs to be manually changed for each existing appointment. Can the new phone number be automatically substituted please?

We are pleased to share that this idea has been socialised with key stakeholders and is now part of our product roadmap.
Please consider that a roadmap is a sequence of outcomes and does mean that in some cases based on the size and complexity of higher ranking outcomes work may not commence for 6-12 months.
While this does not have a defined timeline at this stage, we will continue to update the idea requests' status as we begin work on (this/ these outcomes).

We have found if we update a clients phone number in the client details, that it doesn't automatically update the phone number in any existing appointments. The phone number is not actually updated until the appointment or series of appointments are opened and saved again. This means that clients are not receiving SMS reminders to their updated number without manually opening and saving each appointment or series of appointments to activate the new number.

I don’t think there is a need to update the phone number, usually people are updating their number permanently and currently each appt allows for you to change the number if that is required for a one off.

Hi Paula,Thank you for your suggestion. This is something we definitely want to address in the future. It would be good to hear your thoughts on having a popup display at the time that the mobile number is updated, showing which appointments will have the mobile number updated.Thanks, Andreas

Hi Georgina,Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've asked the developers to look into a solution for this one as it appears to have been like this from the start. We're thinking that when the clients mobile number is edited an option will appear to apply the new mobile number to your desired selection of the clients appointments.
