Allow for Service Types, Sites etc to be Inactive

Currently deleting or removing sites, service types or appointment types remove them from all historical invoices, and you can no longer run reports on them.
We currently have around 150 sites and are adding 60 more.
We wish to remove a large amount of the previous sites as they will no longer be valid, however we aren't able to for the above reasons.
Having the ability to either delete these sites but keep them stored on historical invoices, or to hide them from user view or make them inactive would be of huge benefit.

Having the functionality to 'archive' sites rather than deleting them will improve data integrity and support audit compliance for practices across the coreplus community. I think this is a great idea!
